Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

• Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide.

• Transfer to your hotel in Arusha for check-in.

• Relax after your flight and enjoy dinner and overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha City Tour & Coffee Farm Visit

• After breakfast, head out for a guided city tour of Arusha. Visit lively markets, cultural shops, and the Tanzanite experience.

• Continue to a coffee plantation where you’ll walk through lush fields, learn the coffee-making process from bean to cup, and enjoy a tasting.

• Lunch will be served at the farm or back in town.

• Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

• Early breakfast before a 2–3 hour drive to Tarangire.

• Full-day safari in the park famous for its huge elephant herds, baobab trees, and predator sightings.

• Picnic lunch inside the park.

• Evening transfer to your lodge/camp near Tarangire.

• Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park

• After breakfast, short drive to Lake Manyara.

• Morning safari to spot tree-climbing lions, hippos, flamingos, and birdlife.

• Picnic lunch inside the park.

• Afternoon exploration of groundwater forests and hot springs area.

• Overnight at lodge/camp near Manyara or Karatu.

Day 5: Serengeti (Central)

• Breakfast, then scenic drive via Ngorongoro Highlands into the Serengeti.

• Stop at crater rim for breathtaking views before continuing.

• Game drive en route across the Serengeti plains.

• Arrive at lodge/camp in Central Serengeti by late afternoon.

• Dinner and overnight under the Serengeti sky.

Day 6: Serengeti Full-Day Game Drive

• Wake up at dawn for a full-day safari with picnic lunch.

• Explore Central Serengeti’s diverse landscapes — home to lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and the great wildebeest herds.

• Return in the evening to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Serengeti (Balloon Safari Option)

• Optional sunrise hot air balloon safari followed by champagne breakfast in the bush.

• Morning and afternoon game drives focusing on predator activity and migration movements.

• Picnic lunch or return to camp for hot lunch.

• Evening sundowners and dinner at camp/lodge.

Day 8: Serengeti (North or South – Seasonal)

• Depending on migration season, drive to the Northern Serengeti (for river crossings) or Southern Serengeti (for calving grounds).

• Full-day game drive with picnic lunch.

• Dinner and overnight in Serengeti.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater

• After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route out of Serengeti.

• Arrive at Ngorongoro Conservation Area by midday.

• Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon safari.

• Picnic lunch near the hippo pool, then continue exploring.

• Overnight at lodge on crater rim with dinner.

Day 10: Hadzabe & Datoga Tribe Experience (Lake Eyasi)

• Early breakfast, then drive to Lake Eyasi.

• Spend the morning with the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes. Join them on a short hunt, learn fire-making techniques, and traditional dances.

• Afternoon visit to the Datoga people, skilled blacksmiths who make tools and jewelry.

• Overnight at a lodge near Eyasi.

Day 11: Maasai Village Tour + Leisure in Arusha

• After breakfast, visit a traditional Maasai village. Experience their dances, traditions, and way of life.

• Return to Arusha in the afternoon.

• Free time for shopping or relaxation at your lodge.

• Dinner and overnight in Arusha.

Day 12: Departure

• Breakfast at the lodge.

• Depending on your flight schedule, optional short tour or shopping stop.

• Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for departure.
